PRIDE IN THE JOB

PYE homes awards

We are delighted to announce Jim Mitchell senior site manager at our Portway (Phase 3) East Hendred development has won the NHBC Southern Regional Award 2017 for his site at Willow Farm Marcham, meaning he is considered by the NHBC as the top site manager for those building between 50 & 1000 homes in Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

On Friday, 13 October 2017, Jim was honoured for his dedication to building homes of exceptional quality before an audience of leading industry figures in the second round of the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for his site in Marcham, Oxfordshire. Now in its 37th year, Pride in the Job, organised by the NHBC, the UK’s leading new home warranty insurance provider, is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house building.

Judging for the awards is rigorous, beginning in July, with each site manager assessed across 44 areas of site management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls in place. Jim was selected from more than 16,000 UK site managers and is one of four Southern regional winners who have been recognised.
